I sat down with Daniel Hodge, our dynamic (and newly bald) Key Account Buyer and Social Media core team member, for a little Q&A. I wanted to shed some light on the bright young man behind the media, and of course to get the story behind the new hairstyle.
Explain your job to a 5-year-old:
I buy space and time on television and/or radio for advertisers, but pay for the time and space with cash and goods and services.
Most memorable moment at Active?
Being promoted to Key Account Buyer, something I’ve strived for since joining Active.
Tell us about your Active Cares charity of choice and what you’ve done recently to support it?
St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the world’s largest volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers. Raise money and participate in local event each year to have head shaved in solidarity of children with cancer. This year raised $1,175 personally and over $3,950 as part of group with friends. It’s for the kids!

What’s the most innovative thing you’ve seen a customer do to leverage their credits/obtain credits?
I like what one of our sports clients are doing for the March Madness games at Grand Central Station in NYC with a pop-up lounge. A great way to interact with consumers during the biggest tournament of sports in the U.S., and an innovative way to extend their budget using trade credits.
